1. Nguyen Hue pedestrian street

Nguyen Hue walking street, which was officially brought into operation on 29 April 2015 is the first walking street in Saigon, serving both locals and tourists. It is believed to be the most beautiful and the largest street in Saigon with colourful decoration.

Nguyen Hue walking street has two lanes for transportation circulation. However, from 6PM to 1AM on Saturday and Sunday, the streets on either side of the strip are closed to traffic.

All road surface and pavements are paved by natural stones. During the daytime, the street is beautifully decorated with lines of lush green trees along two sides of road, while at night it is lit up by the lights. The street was made even more attractive with unique and beautiful water music performances.

Visiting the walking street at any time of day, you can easily catch sight of a large number of the city’s residents, foreign tourists and people from neighboring provinces happily enjoy the wonderful atmosphere. They come to walk, socialize, sing, dance and ride hover boards.

2. Bui Vien Walking Street

Bui Vien street, which is usually known as backpacker area, officially became the second pedestrian-only road on 20 August 2017. It attracted thousands of locals as well as foreigners on the first launching date.

Bui Vien walking road is active from 7PM to 2AM every Saturday and Sunday. During this time period, vehicles are prohibited. Live music performances are held along the street on weekend nights between 8PM to 10PM. The shows are performed in the spirit of street art, giving you to enjoy a more artistic aspect of Vietnam.

In addition to the party-like atmosphere, you also have a chance to try Vietnamese mouth-watering food, buy merchandise sold by the vendors on the pavement, play sports and folk games. Other comfortable services including free Wifi and public toilets are available.

3. The Crescent Lake and Anh Sao Bridge

Another favourite pedestrian zone is Anh Sao bridge, which aptly translates as Starlight bridge, due to the colourful lights that are spread across the crescent-shaped form.
