This is a 74-year-old furniture brand that is also the world's largest brand in the industry. The IKEA showrooms are always overwhelming with a very large space and a wide range of convenient, modern and well-designed products. The showrooms are normally divided into different areas such as kitchen, living room, bedroom, bathroom, which makes customers feel like they are in a real house.
Recently, the Bloomberg website has confirmed IKEA - the Sweden's famous furniture brand is officially coming to Vietnam. Although we don’t have the specific date, the news has already excited a lot of people, especially young people.
According to Torbjorn Loof, the CEO of IKEA in the Southeast Asia region, IKEA plans to expand to Vietnam and the Philippines markets to strengthen its existing network in the area including Thailand, Singapore and Malaysia.
Latin America area, Chile, Colombia, Mexico and Peru will be the first countries IKEA targets. The company is expected to open its first store in Vietnam in the next five years, at the same time as other countries to follow the expansion plan.
The company is also set to open 22 more stores this year. According to Loof, the company expects to open 25 new stores every year.
